Must see exhibitions and programs at the Yellowstone Art Museum.

In case you haven’t heard the buzz about the Yellowstone Art Museum’s current exhibitions Face to Face, Wall to Wall, and Un/Conscious Bent: A Survey of Regional Surrealism,  they are a must see! These exhibitions are a celebration of self, others, and the realm of human imagination by emerging and highly recognized artists. Un/Conscious Bent remains on view through August 20th and Face to Face, Wall to Wall until August 24th.

Two featured artists from the latter exhibition will give talks at the museum during August. Join Idaho sculptor Marilyn Lysohir, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 14th, for her talk Personal Reflections and learn why she is considered a prominent artist in the area of ceramics. For those who like their art larger-than-life, Scott Fife, whose sculptures Elvis and Ed Kienholz defy expectations about traditional materials and methods, will present Reclaiming the Portrait, 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., Thursday, August 21st.
