The 45th Annual Symphony In The Park

BILLINGS, MT - The Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale is proud to carry on the tradition of Symphony in the Park in this, our 45th year at Pioneer Park. This free concert is Sunday, June 25, 2017.  Festivities go from 4-9 p.m.

Billings Symphony Music Director, Anne Harrigan, has programmed another amazing concert to appeal to the musical taste of the thousands of people who return year after year to enjoy this family friendly concert. Guest artists DDX Experience will perform favorites, Hallelujah and Summertime Blues. Michelle Berger will sing Can’t Help Lovin Dat Man.

Symphony in the Park begins at 4 p.m. with the Instrument Petting Zoo presented by Eckroth Music and sponsored by Crowley Fleck. Various food trucks and Wilcoxson’s ice cream will also be up and running at 4 p.m. The Billings Community Band takes the stage at 5 p.m., under the direction of BSO&C Principal Trumpet, Mark Fenderson. Maestra Anne Harrigan gathers the kiddos for her signature Kids Conducting Contest at 6:45 p.m. The Kids’ Conducting Contest is sponsored by Tom & Robin Hanel. The Billings Symphony Orchestra and guest artists take the stage at 7, following the Presentation of the Flags by VFW Post 6774 & The Marine Corps League.

Reserved Creekside seating is available. The reserved seating area has picnic tables under a tent so concert-goers can have it “Made in the Shade.” Wristbands are available to purchase at the BSO&C office in downtown Billings (2721 2nd Ave N. Suite 350) or at Symphony in the Park (cash only on the day of the concert.) Seating is limited to a first-come, first served basis.

Located at Senior High, reserved parking is available for $5 per spot (cash only.) The Golf Cart Shuttle will be available to drive concert-goers to and from the concert area. Limited spots available – first come, first served. Handicapped parking (with proper permit) is available for no fee.

Symphony in the Park is the largest component of Explore Music! – the music education and community engagement program of the BSO&C, and is one way in which we continue to share symphonic music with as many people as possible in our Rocky Mountain region.
