NOVA Center for the Performing Arts presents Susannah, an opera by Carlisle Floyd, on February 6, 8, 13, and 15. According to Susannah director, Doug Nagel, “Susannah is a real-life gripping drama about the clash between uppity townsfolk and simple farmers. Evangelist Olin Blitch comes to town and the drama escalates. Rumor, elaboration, and lies quickly bring the opera to a dramatic climax when the Reverend is overcome by his own lechery.”
A warm welcome to Kat Healy, the new Special Events Coordinator at the Yellowstone Art Museum. Kat will replace Adam Restad, who will take his final steps towards securing his Masters in Education this Spring. Kat was born and raised in Billings, Montana, and says she can remember visits to the Yellowstone Art Museum as a child. “I have been going to YAM events like Summerfair every year since I can remember. I have always had a great time and can’t wait for the opportunity to plan one for the Billings community.”
The Yellowstone Art Museum celebrates its 47 annual Art Auction to be held on Saturday, March 7, 2015. All are welcome! The event will be held at the Museum located at 401 N. 27th St., Billings, MT. The annual Art Auction is the YAM’s most significant fundraising event, generating proceeds in support of exhibitions and educational programming for the entire year.
