“A hug is always the right size,” said Winnie the Pooh.

It’s Winnie The Pooh’s National Day!

A.A. Milne created the adorable, poignant, and honey-loving bear.

To commemorate his birthday, January 18th is National Winnie the Pooh Day.

A.A. Milne was born in 1882 but the first collection of books starting with ‘When We Were Young” didn’t become published until 1924 and the adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Christopher Robin, Piglet, and the beloved characters became global favorites.

In the 1960s, Disney bought the rights to Winnie The Pooh, and Milne’s stories were translated into over 50 languages spreading the world over and becoming classic children’s stories and a treasured memory for many adults.

“Sometimes the smallest things take up the most room in your heart.” – Winnie the Pooh
