A downtown Billings bank robbery happened in broad daylight at 402 North Broadway, according to Billings Police Lt. Matt Lennick.
“On March 23, 2023 at approximately 3:33 pm Billings Police responded to a robbery at a bank at 402 North Broadway.


The suspect entered the bank and made contact with an employee and demanded money, while threatening he had a weapon and would harm the employee. The suspect then fled the bank and attempted to flee the scene on a Billings MET bus. MET transit was alerted to the incident and contacted dispatch to advise the suspect was on the bus.
The suspect attempted to flee the bus and was apprehended by responding Officers,” said Lt. Lennick.

Billings man arrested and charged for bank robbery and other charges.

The money from the bank along with a knife were recovered from the suspect at the time of arrest. He’s identified as 67-year-old Elmore Brady of Billings.

Brady was arrested and remains in custody at YCDF on the charges of robbery, assault with a weapon, and a probation violation.
