The warmth of care and concern DOES make a difference and with temperatures so extraordinarily cold, this makes Riverstone Health’s annual Homeless Persons memorial event even more important and meaningful.

December 21st is the first official day of winter and chosen as the Homeless Persons Memorial Day because it is the longest day of the year.

Riverstone invites the public to join in on a very special service being held to remember the 17 people who died from homelessness in Yellowstone County this year and to bring awareness for the need to help those who do not have a permanent home.

The annual event is scheduled for noon on Wednesday, December 21st.

Riverstone is shortening the ceremony because of the extreme cold but is inviting everyone to join in and honor those lost to homelessness and hope for a brighter future for those who remain homeless.

The ceremony will last 15 minutes this year because of subzero temperatures.
