For those who love Chick-fil-A, it’s become more than just a cult favorite, it’s one of the country’s favorite fast food restaurants.

A new Chick-fil-A is opening in Billings and is expected to open in October. A chain-link fence now surrounds the new location on 24th Street West in the same parking lot as Planet Fitness near Wal-Mart.

Parking lot – future home of Billings’ Chick-Fil-A

Chick-fil-A’s Director of Menu Strategy, attributes the company’s success to an unwillingness to settle. It took seven years to achieve a “smoky, backyard flavor” in the company’s grilled chicken. The original chicken sandwich — Chick-fil-A’s best-seller — spent a full four years in development. But, it may be the toasted, buttered bun with dill pickle chips that make the Chick-fil-A chicken sandwich a favorite.

Engineered Structures, Inc. is beginning construction this week and the new restaurant will be under construction for the next four to five months.

The location of the new Chick-fil-A is at one of the busiest intersections in Billings and is near the busy Wal-Mart near King Avenue. The city of Billings is hoping drivers will be patient with any increased traffic while the restaurant is under construction and open for business in October.

We’ll keep you updated as construction continues.
