The National Weather Service is issuing a Red Flag warning before tomorrow when our area becomes very dry and prone to wildfires. The red flag warning goes into effect at 11am on Thursday and runs until 9pm.

The Red Flag warning is the HIGHEST alert and is issued only during times of extreme caution urging everyone to be very careful not to discard cigarettes, make sure truck and car chains do not drag the pavement and do not start any fires in the outdoors.

A simple spark can cause a major wildfire and a Fire Weather Watch is one level below a warning, so please be careful starting tomorrow morning, Thursday, October 20 from 11am until 9pm, to do everything possible not to start a fire because the highest alert possible, the Red Flag waring, is issued for Billings and surrounding areas.
