Good news in the fight against the Elmo Fire; the blaze only grew 18 acres on Sunday because of the amazing firefighter efforts and ground and air support.

The Northern Rockies Incident Information System is listing the Elmo Fire to be 55% contained and has consumed 21,345 acres. As of Monday, August 8, 2022, evacuation orders have been lifted for all residents along Lake Mary Ronan Road (Hwy 352.) However, this area remains under pre-evacuation warnings and is open only to residents and guests.

Camp Tuffit remains under evacuation order and is closed to all traffic.

Residents of Chief Cliff Lane, Black Lake Road, Big Meadows Road, and Dayton Creek Road remain under pre-evacuation warnings.
