Here it comes! Our first real cold snap and big weather change.

It’s also the time when drivers can hit ice for the first time in many months and it’s always a learning curve each winter season. Take it easy out there on our roads for the first real temps lowering into the 20’s and 30’s on Saturday and Sunday.

Saturday there’s a 70-percent chance for rain in the day with temps near 52 but those temps drop near freezing and the forecast is calling for rain so those conditions can create dangerous driving conditions.

Sunday will see a low of around 28 or below freezing so be careful driving Saturday into Sunday morning for the first slick streets in Billings.

If you’re heading into the back or high country for the hunting season kickoff be sure you’re prepared for wet, cold and snowy conditions.
