It’s been a tough drought year for farmers across the U.S.

The corn harvest will begin in the next week for Montana farmers. Many projected their yield would drop from last year, but the USDA released its national map on bushels and percentage change from last year. It’s showing no major change or drop from 2021.

It’s solid economic news for Montana after a harrowing year of historical flooding.

As you drive by the glorious rows of tall corn fields before the harvest, don’t forget to thank a farmer if you get the chance!
