The NWS is issuing a potential Winter Storm alert for the next four days in Montana that will likely impact driving conditions across the state.

NWS Billings says if you have travel or outdoor plans from Monday through Thursday you should make alternative and contingency plans.

Heavy snow and blizzard conditions are possible with this storm.

Make sure you have jumper cables, water, dried food, and a blanket in your vehicle if you must travel.

One of the dangers with this storm is temps in the teens and 20’s and the dangers accompanied with the wind chill factor.

Temperatures can easily get below zero with the wind chill factor so keep your skin protected and don’t stay out in the cold for more than 30 minutes to prevent frostbite.
