After Monday night’s shooting near the ride area, MontanaFair is open today with a regular schedule of events and attractions.
“We are grateful to law enforcement for their rapid response and containment of the incident that occurred last night at the fair. The Sheriff’s department is actively investigating and will provide information as they are able.
Additional law enforcement resources will be on site at the fair to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone,” Goodwin said.
There haven’t been any reports of violence or disruption at today’s MontanaFair and Goodwin is hoping everyone will come visit the fair. The Sheriff’s Department continues to interview witnesses and is asking for the public’s help for any additional information. One male was shot in the leg Monday night at the Fair but Sheriff Lindner believes it was an isolated event and the people involved know one another and there is no further threat to the public.
