Memorial Day is celebrated and observed on the last Monday in May of each year; Memorial Day is Monday, May 29th this year.

No matter what is going on in the world, it’s important to remember gratitude for the courage and service of millions of Americans who fought and continue to fight for American freedoms.

The amazing American Flag is a symbol of reverence, sacrifice and pride.

Memorial Day honors those who died serving in the United States military and the remembrance weekend unofficially kicks off the start of the summer season.

Most government and business offices will be closed. Armed Forces Day honors those who are active duty and Veterans Day honors men and women who have served in the past in the United States Military.

Then President Bill Clinton started the “National Moment of Remembrance” for Americans in 2000.
It happens at 3pm local time on Memorial Day to take several minutes and stop, reflect and have awareness and reverence for those who have died defending our Nation and our values.
