For those planning a trip to Yellowstone this weekend, the National Park Service is advising a section of the Beartooth Highway known as Highway 212, will close temporarily Friday due to anticipated winter weather on September 30.

“This is a temporary closure due to expected winter weather, heavy snow and hazardous driving conditions through the weekend,” Yellowstone said. “The highway will reopen as conditions allow.”

The highway will be closed between the Long Lake barricade near the Top of the World store and the Wyoming–Montana state line but will reopen as soon as possible for sightseeing on one of America’s most gorgeous drives.
