Mother Natures version of Springtime may be a bit different than ours; She dropped almost two feet of snow in the Columbus, Montana area over the weekend.

The Billings NWS issued a Winter Weather Advisory until Monday, March 27th at noon. The Southeastern area of Montana saw up to two-feet of snow in some areas. And, although its beautiful, it can be hazardous for young livestock. Farmers and ranchers were on alert taking care of the young livestock.

Residents in many areas had to dig out in the past 48 hours but the good news is, temperatures will warm up by Monday afternoon and bring some relief in the form of melt.

The snow should taper off from the NW to SE today as the storm heads southeast. A cold blast of Canadian air will drop into Northeast Montana Monday night for some possible light snow before this storm clears the state all together.
