Great news for those of you who had planned on spending the Fourth of July in Yellowstone National Park. The park is reopening the north loop on July 2.

The park will also suspend the alternating license plate system. The park will be open to all visitors. And, not only will travelers be able to access roads in the south loop, accessibility is available to Norris Junction to Mammoth Hot Springs; Mammoth Hot Springs to Tower Roosevelt; Tower-Roosevelt to Canyon Junction.

You can access both the south and north loops at the Cody East entrance, West entrance, and South Entrance which is the Grand Teton Jackson, Wyoming entrance.

Senator Steve Daines sent out a tweet Thursday to encourage people who may have made plans in YNP for the holiday to keep them.

If you’re headed to the park for this Fourth of July celebration, enjoy!
