You don’t need to call dispatch later this week when you see smoke in the air in the Heights area.
It’s all part compliance with the CFR Title 14, Part 139 (i), (3) regulation which requires airports with scheduled passenger service to conduct live fire training periodically.
The the Billings Airport will be conducting this training at the Airport on Thursday evening from from 6pm to 10pm.
These fires will be at the training facility on the northwest corner of the Airport which will be visible to people in the Heights/Skyview area, so don’t become alarmed if you see large plumes of smoke in the air.
