The Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale Announces 70th Anniversary Season

Join the Billings Symphony Orchestra & Chorale (BSOC) for its platinum anniversary. Celebrating 70 years in the Billings community, the BSOC will present their Classic Series with a return to the newly renovated Alberta Bair Theater and one additional concert in the historic Lincoln Center. The BSOC introduces their newest subscription series, The Sukin Series, with performances at the Billings Depot and the Babcock Theater. The Classic Series goes on sale June 1, 2020 and the Sukin Series is on sale now. Single Tickets go on sale July 25, 2020 through the Alberta Bair Box Office.

The BSOC’s 70th Anniversary begins by celebrating Beethoven’s 250th birthday and his ultimate masterpiece, Symphony No. 9. The great symphonist’s iconic Ode to Joy honors brotherhood and humility and is truly a joy to experience live.

A rising star, Gilmore Young Artist Recipient Wei Luo showcases Prokofiev’s “devilishly difficult” Piano Concerto No. 3 with ease. The powerful and dazzling melodies of Saint-Saёns’ Organ Symphony bring the evening to a close.

The BSOC is offering two subscriptions types for the first time. The first subscription type is the Classic Series. The Classic Series takes the place of the previous Full Season subscription. Within the Classic Series subscribers have the option to purchase 1 of 3 subscription options: Option 1: Full Season- A new twist on an old favorite: subscribe to the full season including the addition of a 7th concert. Option 2: Pick 5- Choose 5 performances from the Classic Series. Option 3: Pick 5 Combo-Choose 3 performances from the Classic Series and 2 performances from the Sukin Series (1 Billings Depot and 1 Babcock Theater performance).

The BSOC presents the newest subscription series: The Sukin Series. Performed in the intimate setting of two historic Billings icons—the Billings Depot and the newly-renovated Babcock Theater—the Sukin Series highlights local and international artists. Subscribers have three subscription options to choose from: Option 1: Full Season-Subscribe to all 6 Sukin Series performances. Option 2: Depot- Subscribe to the Billings Depot performances only. Option 3: Pick 4-Choose 2 Billings Depot performances, and 2 Babcock Theater performances.

Both subscription types offer Adult and Under 30/Student prices. The Classic Series goes on sale June 1, 2020. The Sukin Series is on sale now! Single tickets for both series’ go on sale July 25, 2020.
