Madam Moss’s House of Chaos at the Moss Mansion

There’s nothing quite like a huge, darkened Victorian mansion to conjure up thoughts of ghosts and other Halloween characters. The Moss Mansion serves as the perfect backdrop for an elaborate Haunted House on the Mansion’s grounds. Checking in at Madam Moss’s House of Chaos means a scary journey past the creepy doorman, the frightening array of dining room delectables, the toxic-filled boiler room, and whatever else might be lurking in the long, dark hallways.

The Haunted House made its premier appearance on Halloween 2010 and was such a success that plans are underway for an extended run this year, beginning at 6 pm on Friday and Saturday October 28-29, as well as Halloween night.

“Even grown men admitted to being scared by the array of unpredictable surprises,” says Moss Mansion House Manager Arlo Thomas. “The sights and sounds–from gruesome to humorous–made for truly scary fun.”

For young children who might be frightened by the House, a less fearful version is offered with affable cartoon characters offering treats.  This is only open on Halloween night.
