Plenty of Fall and Halloween fun is happening in the Magic City in October. Plan ahead to get the most out of all that is happening in Billings. Here is a list of a few events happening during October. 

The Maize at Grandpa’s Farm 

The corn maze at Grandpa’s farm is something many locals look forward to coming to during the autumn season. The maize has plenty of family-friendly activities, like hay rides, pig races, and a cow train ride. Haunted corn mazes begin in October and only happen on Friday and Saturday. For September, the hours at the maize are Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm, Friday from 6 pm to 10 pm, and Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm. In October, the corn maze is open Wednesday from 6 pm to 9 pm and Thursday and Saturday from 10 am to 10 pm. 

Downtown Trick or Treat

Hosted by the Downtown Billings Alliance is Downtown Trick or Treat, which has been a community favorite for the last 20 years. The event is free to the public, where kids can dress up in costumes and trick-or-treat downtown businesses. There will be candy, healthy treats, and fun Halloween activities planned too! Downtown Trick or Treat starts on Friday, October 28, from 12 pm to 4 pm.

Fall Outdoor Plant Care Workshop 

With winter honing coming after fall, now is the perfect time to start prepping your outdoor area for the colder months. The plant Care Workshop is on October 1 at 10 am. Discuss all kinds of plants and learn how to prepare for the spring season. Participants learn about bed preparations, lawn and garden winter prep tips, and more. The event is free, and no registration is needed.

Rescued and Reclaimed Harvest Season Vintage Market 

For fans of everything vintage and everything, this is the place for you! The Rescued and Reclaimed Harvest Season Vintage Market at the MetraPark Pavillion will have 80 vendors from Montana, Wyoming, the Dakotas, Idaho, and Minnesota. Find vintage jewelry, clothes, decorations, and more. The two-day event starts on October 7, from 5 pm to 8 pm, and on October 8, from 10 am to 4 pm. Tickets can be purchased at the front gate. 

Halloween Bingo and Carnival 

No one can think of October without thinking of Halloween, and these two events are the perfect thing to prepare for the spooky holiday. Halloween Bingo at the Rhoadside event center in Huntley, Montana, starts on October 28 from 7 pm to 12 am. Dress in costumes for a chance to win a special prize! The Halloween carnival at Peace Lutheran Church is also on October 28 from 5:30 – 7:30. This event is free and will have 25 cars to ‘trunk’ and treat from.
