October is almost here, meaning it will soon be Halloween. These local events in Billings are the perfect preparation for the spooky season!

The Haunted Hill Climb at the Billings Motorcycle Club starts October 15 at 9 am. This event marks the final hill climb of the year. This hill climb will have trick or treating for the kiddos; costumes are encouraged. Bring lawn chairs and other outdoor recreation equipment for a day of speculating. Camping is also available at the local Billings Lodging. 

Lockwood is preparing for the second annual Haunted Hellner event at Hellner Park. The free Halloween event starts on October 29 from 5 pm to 7 pm. Expect fun games with prizes, barrel train rides, a haunted corn maze, and candy! The Wild Rose Zombie Hunt at Wild Rose Paintball will happen every Friday in October. There is mini golf, archery tag, and a chance to become a zombie yourself. 

The Moss Mansion hosts Mysteries at the Moss starting September 14 from 4 pm to 7 pm. Explore the whole mansion and retrieve clues for the ‘magic words’ that infamous villains have locked away. Mysteries at the Moss happen every Wednesday evening through October 19. The historical mansion will also host a murder mystery dinner on September 30 at 6 pm. The Whiskey, Witches, and Wizards event is another event at the Moss mansion on October 8 at 4 pm, known as a five cocktail witchy experience. 

Several movies are showing around Billings for the spooky season. The iconic Rocky Horror Picture Show plays at the Babcock Theater on October 20 at 9 pm. Free movies in the park will present Ghostbusters Afterlife on October 7 from 6 pm to 10 pm at Rose Park. The family-friendly event will have food trucks onsite that are perfect for watching movies under the stars. Food Trucks that will be there include Ceci’s Popcorn, Wagon Wheel Kettlecorn, and more!

Spooky Billings Buildings is part of the downtown artwalk on October 7 from 5 pm to 9 pm. The art event is held at Davinci’s workshop. See familiar buildings in downtown Billings with a Halloween twist of displaying art from local artists. There is also a mini art project where guests can mingle with one another.
