The final public meeting for the MET transit development plan is scheduled for August 18 in the Community Room of the Billings Public Library. The press release says members of the public are welcome and encouraged to join the meeting.

The purpose of the meeting is to hear feedback on future ideas for transit, such as increased hours of service, an increase of 30-minute routes, and creating designated stops with signs rather than flag stops. The meeting will start with concepts of the development plan in an open house format where people can ask questions or provide input on the plan.

Participants needing a ride home from the meeting can schedule with Billings MET Transit by August 17 at 5:00 p.m. Call 406-657-7783 to schedule a ride or for further assistance. The public can also watch the Livestream version of the meeting on MET Transit’s Facebook page.

Members of the meeting can submit Additional questions, comments, and concerns by calling 402-350-7783 or emailing project manager Bill Troe. Participants can also submit questions and comets by visiting the MET Transit website.
