St. Vincent Foster Grandparent program has been around 52 years. Americorps trained volunteers going into the classroom, after school programs, and head start programs to assist students one on one with their classroom work. Applicants needs to be 55+ and the stipend doesn’t go towards Medicare, Medicaid, and other aid income.
