The Billings Public Library has tons of holiday-themed events for December! Here is a rundown of all the holiday fun happening at the library.

Bring the kiddos in for a month-long winter scavenger hunt happening throughout December! Pick up a clue sheet at the front desk of the children’s area. Find ten winter pictures hidden in the children’s area. Find all pictures and be entered to win a family winter fun pack.

There is also a hot cocoa tasting for ages 11-17 on Thursday, December 29. The event starts from 2- 3 pm in the tech lab. Vote on your favorite and least favorite hot chocolate. There will also be cookies and board games. It’s also a great way to interact with other teenagers and make new friends.

Come to one of the Friday Fun nights happenings throughout the month. Bookworms will love the Silent (Reading) Night on December 2 from 5:30 pm to 7 pm. Enjoy reading in a comfortable, silent environment. The library provides a cozy atmosphere along with silent snacks too. On December 9, kids can enjoy a movie and an elf hunt! The eld scavenger hunt begins at 5:15 pm in the children’s section, where they can find elves hidden. The movie “Elf” will be plated in the teen corner at 5:45 pm.

December 16 is a Santa Paws Workshop from 6 – 7 pm. Create handcrafted dog toys that will be donated to local shelters and animal rescue organizations. And don’t miss another holiday movie on December 23 in the Community Room from 5:30 – 7:30 pm. The chosen movie is “Home Alone.”

The library is also hosting a Pet Supply Drive for the whole month. Supplies donated benefit B.A.R.K., which stands for Billings Animal Rescue Kare. B.A.R.K. is a non-profit shelter organization that relies solely on volunteer work.

The library closes early on Christmas Eve at 3 pm and will be closed until December 27. It will also close early on New Year’s Eve at 5 pm. Click here for a complete list of all the events at the library in December.
