Trying to find something to do this weekend? There is plenty of weekend autumn fun happening around Billings. Yourbigsky lists autumn events that are a must-see this weekend.

Downtown Billings has tons of exciting things happening this weekend for the first Friday of the month. See local art at the downtown Billings ArtWalk on Friday, October 7. The artwalk is chock full of interactive activities for all ages. Carlin Bear Don’t Walk is one artist whose work will be featured in the artwalk, showcasing his art exhibition “Home Sweet Home.” Other artists include Sandy Dvarishkis, Sean McCotter, Trevan Hiersche, and Jessica Brophy. 

As part of the Artwalk, join artist Jane Waggoner Deschner who will hold an art talk at the Yellowstone Art Museum at 5 pm. The museum has free admission from 5 pm to 8 pm, so don’t miss an opportunity to stop by. Take the kids to the Wise Wonders Children’s  Museum on October 7 from 5 to 7 pm free admission! They can enjoy a fun, hands-on STEM activity, showing the importance of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Downtown Billings Alliance and the Montana Brewing Company are gearing up for the 2022 Harvestfest on October 7 from 9 am to 4 pm. The day is filled with fun for the whole family to celebrate the autumn season. The kiddos can enjoy face painting and tons of arts and crafts. Food trucks will also be available to satisfy any craving with cotton candy, kettle corn, steak sandwiches, and more.  On top of live entertainment, adults can partake in the Montana Brewing Company’s Oktoberfest Beer garden with a stein holing contest as well. There are tons to explore this year’s HarvestFest.

The Montana Audobon Center has a morning bird stroll from 8:30 am to 10:00 am. It is a great way to take in the crisp morning air by the Yellowstone River and learn about the native birds. Learn about certain bird calls and the identification of birds that you may see during the walk. The Audubon center will have audiobooks and binoculars that guests can use if they do not have their own equipment. Make sure to register before you attend. And don’t miss the Wise Wonders Family Program and evening exploration happening Saturday at the Audobon Center!
