The final Alive After Five for the summer in downtown Billings starts August 4 from 5 – 8 pm at historic Montana Avenue and N. 23rd Street. The last venue for the event is presented by McCormick Cafe and the Downtown Billings Alliance (DBA).

The press release from DBA says two local musicians will headline the show: Mercedes Caroll and W.C. Huntley.

Mercedes Carroll is from southwest Montana, whose music is a contemporary blend of Americana music and vivid storytelling in her songs. In the fall of 2019, she released her debut album, She’s Pretty vol.1, and released vol. 2 of She’s Pretty in May of 2020. The songs on both volumes of the album reflect life, heartbreak, and hardships living in the American West. Carroll has spent countless hours rehearsing and performing to bring moving songs to audiences based on experiences she and others have experienced.

W.C Huntley is originally from South Carolina and is now based in Bozeman, Montana. His songs are a unique combination of western and country music, inspired by musicians like Merle Haggard and John Prine. Huntley brings a soulful voice with this Travis-picking guitar style. Both artists at the event bring original songs and familiar covers.

Admission into Alive After Five is free; individuals ages 21 and up can purchase wristbands to consume alcohol at the event. Limited numbers of VIP wristbands are also available for purchase by calling 406-294-5060. The wristbands give access to VIP seating, cold water, and access to the outdoor location.
