Police were on heightened alert Tuesday afternoon in a reported shooting on Avenue F.

Officers were called on a shooting around 5:45 Tuesday evening in the 1300 block of Avenue F.

A 38-year-old man was found with a gunshot wound to the abdomen and taken to a local hospital for emergency treatment.

According to Sgt. Beck, everyone involved in the incident has been interviewed by police and there is no further threat to the public. No names are being released yet.
