The quaint city of Red Lodge is hosting several fun events to raise funds for flood relief after the eventful flood that impacted the town in June.
The Snow Creek Flood Relief Concert starts on Aug. 20 in downtown Red Lodge from 6 pm to 1 am. Four bands will play throughout the night, with other musicians performing in between sets. The local bands playing include The Velvet Underdog, Limited Warranty, Stormz, and Ransom. There will also be plenty of chances to win prizes and a 50/50 raffle too.
The first Summer Fest & Flood Relief Fundraiser begins on Aug. 21, helping to raise money for those impacted by the flooding incident two months ago. Explore the streets of downtown Red Lodge with street dining, shopping, and a fun kids playground area. There will also be live music throughout the entire day. The all-day event starts from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. Proceeds from the event go to the Red Lodge Area Community Foundation, giving it to businesses and individuals in need of it most after the flooding incident.
The Whistle Pig Adventure race presented by the Rocky Mountain Adventure Race Series is also in Red Lodge on Sep. 10. Individuals and teams of up to four players are given a map on the day of the race, with checkpoints plotted on it. Racers have up to six hours to find as many as they can. Celebrate afterward by attending Oktoberfest happening at Red Lodge Ales! The proceeds go towards the Beartooth Recreation Trails Association to make improvements on nonmotorized trails. For those interested, be sure to register by Sep. 8
Red Lodge’s coveted slogan fits how this tiny town can come back after an intense flood that rocked the town. “Come hell or high water,” Red Lodge is, without a doubt, a town worth seeing.
