The shuttle service at Glacier National Park is closed Monday to honor the unexpected passing of one of the shuttle drivers, according to the news release from the park.

Glacier National Park and LC Staffing, the employment agency for the shuttle service, gave their sincere condolences to the driver’s friends, family, and the community he served.

The driver drove shuttle buses at the park seasonally for the past four years and was a school bus driver for 14 years. He also served in the military.

“Our driver was well liked, committed to his profession, and we are truly honored to have worked with him,” LC staffing said.

Visitors of the park expecting to use the shuttle after hiking out of trails are asked to plan accordingly since shuttle access is unavailable. The shuttle service will resume on Tuesday, July 26.
