Billings Police Department seeks information on Central Ave. hit and run

The Billings Police Department (BPD) is seeking the public’s assistance in gathering information regarding a serious injury hit and run accident involving a vehicle versus a pedestrian on 12/02/2020 at about 8:56 PM in the 1700 Block of Central. The pedestrian, a 25 y/o male from Billings, was transported to a local medical facility with serious and life threatening injuries.

Crash investigators are seeking to identify a vehicle involved in the accident that fled the area. The vehicle is described as dark gray vehicle of unknown make and model. The vehicle has damage to the front driver side and radiator. (Attached, are photos of the vehicle parts left at the scene.)
We are asking ask mechanics, neighbors, or friends to contact the BPD with any information regarding vehicles or vehicle repairs matching the description around this time frame. Additionally, we are asking for assistance in tips about possible make and model of vehicle based on the picture of car parts.

Officer’s followed radiator fluid trails from the scene of the crash to the area of Elysian Road, but were unable to locate the vehicle. From the scene of the crash the vehicle is believed to have travelled west on Central to 32nd West, south to the Gabel road area, then to Zoo drive, across the interstate around the Goodman Drive area, then to the area of Elysian.

Lastly, we ask that any residents or business owners in those areas to check their surveillance cameras for any vehicles matching the above description around the time of the incident to about 10:00 PM.
