Last night’s homicide on Broadwater and 4th St W detailed by Billings Police Department

On 11/30/2020 at about 8:50 PM, Officers with the Billings Police Department (BPD) were dispatched to the area of 4th Street West and Broadwater for reports of multiple gunshots and a male lying in the street. Dispatch updated information to officers that the male was also run over by a vehicle.

Officers arrived to find a 30 year old male from Billings, lying unresponsive in the street with gunshot wounds and injuries consistent with being run over by a vehicle. Medical was unable to resuscitate the male and he was declared deceased at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle, a 48 year old male from Billings, who was travelling west bound at the time of the incident, remained at the scene and was not injured. At this time, the driver of the vehicle is not believed to be related to the shooting portion of the incident.

Initial information and evidence indicates the deceased was shot and then struck by the vehicle on Broadwater. The shooter remains unknown and is believed to have fled the area eastbound on foot. No arrests have been made.

The investigation is active / on-going and is being handled by BPD Detectives. Anyone with any information related to this incident is asked to call the Investigations Division at 657-8473.
