Big Brothers Big Sisters Yellowstone County (BBBSYC), which creates long-lasting, meaningful mentoring relationships for youth announces the 2019 Feel the Love Gala scheduled for Friday, February 15th, at the Doubletree. The Gala is the largest event hosted by BBBSYC each year, supporting the organization’s mission of making a positive impact in Yellowstone County through mentoring.
“The need in Yellowstone County for young people to have a role model is more urgent than ever,” said Dave and June Anderson, 2019 Feel the Love event chairs. “Across Yellowstone County, more than 35 children are waiting to be matched with a Big Brother or Big Sister.”
The Big Brothers Big Sisters movement began 114 years ago in 1904. Big Brothers Big Sisters Yellowstone County was founded in 1974. Big Brothers Big Sisters’ evidence-based mentoring programs are designed to create positive, measurable outcomes for youth, including educational success, avoidance of risky behaviors, higher aspirations, greater confidence, and better relationships.
This year’s event will feature: Live and Silent Auctions; Bigs of the Year awards; and keynote speaker, the Honorable Mary Jane Knisely, Thirteenth Judicial District Court Judge in Yellowstone County. Also featured will be the Fund-A-Match Campaign to help reach the goal of matching the more than 35 Littles in our community waiting on a mentor.
Event sponsorships, tickets, auction donations and Fund-A-Match donations are being accepted now! To purchase tickets or make a donation please contact BBBSYC at 406.248.2229 or by emailing email@example.com.
