Billings Public Library hosts ‘Fall Bulb Planting’ with Pat from Canyon Creek Nursery

Billings Public Library will host Pat Appleby from Canyon Creek Nursery on Wednesday, September 18th to give a presentation on fall bulb planting.  The program will be held in the Royal Johnson Community Room at 5:00 pm.

Pat will discuss planting tulips, daffodils, grape hyacinth, crocus and other hardy spring-blooming bulbs in your garden. In this one-hour presentation, participants will learn how to achieve waves of color from layering bulbs.

Pat Appleby is a native Montanan who grew up on a cattle ranch north of Reed Point. She has many years of gardening experience including working at one of the largest garden centers in Northern Virginia. In 2006, Pat completed the Missoula County Master Gardener Program. In 2016, she and Stacy Robinson started Canyon Creek Nursery which is located at 1730 South 48th Street West. Pat writes gardening articles for the Billings Gazette Pat’s Corner section.
