Billings Public Library will host a program for teens titled Navigating What’s Next: Tips from a Recent College Grad with Kate Yeater on Saturday, November 9. The program will be in the Billings Public Library 2nd Floor Computer Classroom from 1-3 pm. The presentation is free and open to the public.
Planning your future can be intimidating, but it’s also an exciting time! Montana State Parks AmeriCorps member Kate Yeater will be sharing tips for incorporating your passions into a college degree and opportunities for after high school. She’ll answer questions and share some of her own experiences to encourage those starting down the “what’s next?” path to brainstorm and pursue opportunities to gain experience for a career that aligns with your interests and goals. Please call the library at 657-8290 to sign up!
Kate Yeater grew up in rural Ohio, received a degree in anthropology from Purdue University, and has been working in conservation education and sustainable agriculture in Alabama, Idaho, and Malawi (in southeastern Africa) since she graduated. Currently she’s serving as the AmeriCorps member at Chief Plenty Coups State Park in Pryor.
