Billings ,MT (May 6, 2019) – This year, Jason Christoferson saw one of his dreams come true – and it only cost him $100. The winner of the 2019 Billings St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway was surprised and honored to be one of the hundreds of winners across the country to support St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital®.
Estimated to be valued at $500,000, the single-family house was built by Classic Design Homes and located in the Ironwood community in Billings. The home features approximately 3,600 square-feet, 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, a 3 car garage and a finished basement.
Not only does the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway benefit the new homeowner, but also the patients of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital who are battling cancer and other deadly diseases such as patient Datiauna Gordon.
For the past 27 years, St. Jude has given away over 500 houses and raised over $425 million through the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway campaign, the largest single-event fundraiser for the hospital. It’s because of programs like this that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food, so they can focus on helping their child live.
The construction of a home would not be possible without the generous support of the community and loyal sponsors including: KTVQ Q2, Classic Design Homes, Regal Land Development, Hot 101.9, 98.5 The Wolf, Ferguson Enterprises, Stockman Bank, Simply Family Magazine, as well as national sponsors Brizo, Shaw Floors, Trane and Bosch.

About St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital
St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital is leading the way the world understands, treats and defeats childhood cancer and other life-threatening diseases. It is the only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center devoted solely to children. Treatments invented at St. Jude have helped push the overall childhood cancer survival rate from 20 percent to 80 percent since the hospital opened more than 50 years ago. St. Jude is working to drive the overall survival rate for childhood cancer to 90 percent, and we won’t stop until no child dies from cancer. St. Jude freely shares the discoveries it makes, and every child saved at St. Jude means doctors and scientists worldwide can use that knowledge to save thousands more children. Families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing or food – because all a family should worry about is helping their child live.
