Get ready for a show with mechanical wonders and circus acrobatics! The Alberta Bair Theater is excited to present Cirque Mechanics to the state on October 20 at 7:30 pm. The press release states the acrobatic group is performing “Zephyr- a Whirlwind of Circus.”

The performance tells a vivid story about the choices humans make in terms of our planet and its resources. For thousands of years, humans have harnessed wind power which inspired Cirque Mechanics to create the show. The performance brings an energetic, acrobatic experience with a multi-functional windmill included as the show’s centerpiece. The windmill is mounted on a turntable combining traditional and modern elements. It will transform from one aspect to another with a change of scenery in real-time.

Cirque Mechanics is an interactive performance group founded in 2004 by Chris and Aida Lashua from Las Vegas. After a collaborative project with the circus center of San Francisco, Birdhouse Factory saw huge success, Cirque Mechanics quickly became a premier American Circus. The group has a unique performance approach with mechanical staging and inspirational storytelling, bringing an exhilarating show to viewers.
