*** Jeff Essman has terminated his campaign for Governor***

Meet a Republican Candidate for Governor –
Jeff Essmann:
Billings native Jeff Essmann is a proven problem solver. Trained as both a Systems Engineer and a lawyer, he’s been a small business job creator for over 30 years and has served Montana since 2005 as a State Senator.

Jeff understands what it takes to overcome obstacles and create jobs through his experience in growing his small business. Starting with 11 employees in four locations, he grew to 33 employees in seven locations and became widely known for his annual charity coat drive that placed over 90,000 coats with deserving families during his ownership of his dry-cleaning business from 1982 to 2006. Today, Jeff’s business interests include property development and management and a bulk water supply business.

After working effectively in the minority to defeat numerous tax increases, Essmann served in the majority as chairman of the Senate Taxation Committee in 2009. He was then elected by his peers to deliver historic Republican legislative majorities in 2010 and to serve as Senate Majority Leader. Jeff is known for his ability to get the job done on the most difficult issues facing Montanans, including the leadership he displayed in passing a compromise bill dealing with the contentious medical marijuana issue.

Throughout his public service, Jeff has voted to reduce government spending and decrease tax rates in order to foster economic growth and better paying jobs. Jeff and his wife, Sherry, reside in Billings.Jeff Essmann:
